hey sup, just a heads up that aion the tower of eternity is now live.

if you're not familiar with the game, it's an mmorpg. to sum it up it's basically lineage 2 meets wow with wings. lots of quests in the beginning give way to lightish grinding. a good duo will have no problem eating up mobs though.

if you want to play with me you'll need a north american copy of the game, since it's segregated between na and eu. i am on siel, asmodian side. my name is dirtyklingon. pm me in game and i'll send you an invite to the legion if we are not full.

i'm not in a postion to powerlevel anyone yet, but it shouldn't be too difficult to catch up if you have the time to do so.

also i recommend getting the collector's edition as it will come with some nice ce only items, including level 30 wings which will save you a million kinah(kinah being the name of the in game currency.)

my first impressions of the game are that the classes seem fairly well balanced. some classes level faster than others at first, clerics, sorcerers and spirit masters being the fastest, gathering is lamer here than wow, with a mini game and soon to have an added anti bot measure forcing you to enter a code everytime you gather to prove you aren't a bot. so i'm not doing any gathering. crafting is worthwhile, but expensive. luckily there's work order quests that give you access to 90% of the mats needed to finish the work order for cheap and gives exp. crafts can also "crit", making a more powerful version of the weapon armour or potion you wanted to be crafted.

haven''t really gotten into pvp yet, but there are no pve only servers which is a plus imho. although there are instanced dungeon for you raiders to play in.

if you do try it, play ranger which is weak at lower levels but becomes OP later, or sorc or spiritmaster. melee classes are gimp in this game until the very end.

Yeah, it's not looking likely, I'm alreadyu snowed under with all the stuff from University, not to mention a ton of server issues here tonight. Didn't get my studying done, again. And my learning diary I started a week back has disappeared from my hard drive, done ever search under the sun. No sign of the bloody thing.

aion is turning out to suck anyway. fair amount of bugs, poor class balance pre50, and lack of content combined with a hefty grind make it pretty boring overall.
