Just a quick update to let folks know about a MMORPG that you can download and play without having to spend a single penny. If you wish to spend a penny or two, then you can, by simply purchasing diamonds from the content creators. Diamonds will allow you to buy expensive top quality gear for your character, but I recommend against that, as who gives a shit when it's the gameplay that matters, not how 'cool' you think your character may look.

So, if you are thinking of joining in, then go to http://www.runesofmagic.com/ download the client, install and patch the client (ensuring that you choose International English if you want to be able to actually join in our games). And log in to the Macantacht server, Channel 2 (It's a german game with translations into English).

Following is a list of OTSers, the first column is the username on this site, and the second/third column(s) are the actual character names.

I'm afraid I won't be able to join the game until my new cable modem arrives, as it keeps having intermittent drops (4-5 working days) :(

this game is a bit too much like wow for me. although the pvp system looks interesting, i am just plain sick of wow so i probably won't be playing this one much.

That would be Mage/Rogue for MyrrhDeZohar.

Maybe Frogster should have gone all out and called it FreeWow. At any rate, having come out from under my runescape rock, I'm having a ball.

I never played WoW due to monetary concerns. If it's FreeWoW, then that'll do me.

Wouldn't mind trying out PVP soon though.
