PC Tinkering
Before uninstalling the software though, I thought it best to consolidate and backup both my computers to my new 250GB drive. 66.1GB now used, and I still haven't transferred some other bits from my laptop. Not as much as you would think, but I am burning videos off to DVD instead, so thats a fair few gig saved.
After the long file copies, and following deletions, I finally moved onto the software removal on my server upstairs, which I mentioned in the first paragraph. Nothing left on it now other than GTA:SA, Psychonauts, Firefox, Nero, uTorrent, Acronis Disk Director, and VMWare Workstation. Nero is there for the video burns to come when I have some more dvd's. The games are still there, but as with the rest it all sorta works itself into what I'm trying next.
As mentioned I have VMWare installed so I'm going to install nearly every Linux distribution I can find into it's own Virtual Memory, and play about until I've decided which best suits me and the job. If anyone has some good distro recommendations, then please add your comment with a link to the iso's then I'll give em a whirl.
Not entirely sure what I want to do with the server yet, I just basically want to replace my "no longer updating and frankly I can't be arsed with it anyway," Windows XP installation. I still have my laptop running a fully updated XP Pro install so I'm sure I'll survive.
